15th October 2021, This is a smart glass of the new world containing a small micro-LED display developed by TCL. This screen does not affect its appearance. It looks like a normal sunglass from outside. This glass also contains a camera and is multitasking as it can present more than one screen at a time. Smart glass can make calls answer them, to view in Augmented Reality {AR} and can capture your moments. This smart device is now expected to compete and to stand along with the newly launched Xiaomi Smart glasses and Facebook Rayban glasses.
These glasses are announced by the TCL company officially but the price is not mentioned or any clue about that is given. It is expected that this glass will be made available firstly in China than the rest parts of the world as TCL’s headquarters is based in Huizhou China.
TCL has shared a video describing the glasses and according to the video, it comes with a 4µm (micrometer) pixels Micro LED display. As per the video released these glasses are capable of setting up alarms, accessing the smartphone data, managing your calendars, watching media messages, and can also control your smart home devices. It can also control your Car door lock switch.
Xiaomi one of the largest phone seller in India and based in China also unveiled its smart glass a month ago and these glasses have the tendency to show your real-time location navigation and text translation. The weight of these glasses is approximately 51 grams and has a Micro LED screen to display Data and notifications. These glasses have an inbuilt microphone and a speaker that makes them compatible to make phone calls and answer them. There is a 5 MP camera also fitted in it.
Facebook, the Big tech giant among APPLE, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, and AMAZON has also tied up with Ray-Ban to introduce smart glasses. These glasses come with a worth of $299. It can work on the user’s voice inputs and can take photos and videos. It can also make a FaceBook application run on the screen. But the AR feature lagged behind. These glasses also are not preferred by people as it is manufactured by Data- hungry tech company which has faced criticism for data privacy and security of its users.
Apart from all the Tech and smartness of this glass, there is a major serious issue that comes of comfort upon wearing it. As per the Video by TCL it has a design which is made by taking you comfort as a matter of serious concern and have designed it with the skin friendly materials.
Wearing some glasses is like carrying heavy objects by your nose. As per TCL, it is a very lightweight glass so that you are comfortably wear it.
